Games such as Gunpoint (Suspicious Developments, 2013) and Spelunky (Derek Yu and Andy Hull, 2009) illustrate the potential of Game Maker. I am using the tool to hone my game design knowledge, test ideas, and build games.
Matter Anchor: The first three levels of a prototype puzzle game based on teleporting. Created using visual scripting and GML. All assets taken from Yoyo Games website.
I extended Matter Anchor, creating a 2D Platform prototype using the basic teleport mechanics I developed for the top down game.
